Hello!

It’s nice to meet you! My name is Gabriella Boal, and I work as an associate producer at WPHL-17 for a weekend show called "Weekend Philler". I enjoy positively impacting my local community by featuring businesses and notable individuals in the area, and I'm also interested in expanding my outreach to other parts of the country.

I have been excelling in this position, having recently been the recipient of the “Outstanding Feature Story/Report” from the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters for my collaborative work on a segment titled “Subaru: Love the Earth, Terracycle”. In addition to my work in television, I was involved with the Voorhees Animal Orphanage, where I cared for cats and dogs and helped them find permanent homes. Working with these animals has been an incredibly rewarding experience.

I graduated from West Virginia University with a major in Journalism and a minor in Interactive Design for Media. My studies encompassed various forms of journalism, from print to broadcast, as well as training in media design, including learning HTML and some JavaScript coding.

In my leisure time, I love playing video games. I firmly believe that video games have played a significant role in the evolution of storytelling. My favorite game is Undertale, which I adore for its heart-wrenching storyline and the different gameplay paths. Undertale and games like it have inspired me to pursue creative outlets like editing, videography, and writing. Outside of video games, I love reading, crocheting, and taking my two dogs, Finn and Margo, out for walks.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me!
